This week, Spanish Ham Master travelled to Madrid for a very special event alongside one of the most influential wine critics in the world: Tim Atkin MW.
The first edition of The Best of Spain by Tim Atkin brought together more than 160 of Spain’s finest wineries, all presenting wines awarded 95+ points by the renowned British Master of Wine. A unique gathering of excellence, flavour, and passion for Spanish gastronomy.
For the occasion, our founder Jose Sol had the honour of carving two exceptional Jamones Ibéricos de Bellota, red label, vintage 2022, from Ibéricos Montesano carefully selected to accompany some of the best wines in Spain. The result was incredible. Throughout the event, professionals, sommeliers, importers and wine lovers stopped to enjoy the perfect pairing between great wine and authentic Jamón Ibérico.
Events like this remind us that jamón is much more than a product: it is culture, craftsmanship and emotion shared slice by slice.
One of the highlights of the evening came when the Spanish television programme El Tiempo Justo, presented by Joaquín Prat, visited the event and interviewed us about the growing international impact of Jamón Ibérico and the importance of representing Spanish gastronomy at world-class events.
Madrid once again proved why it is one of the great capitals of gastronomy and hospitality.
